Lemon-Butta: The different wine varieties we offer

Enjoying a meal with loves ones is something that should be taken seriously. It’s so much more than just eating food in the same room together and getting the nourishment that you need. Mealtimes are the moments when people are given the chance to relax and have a little fun. Whether you eat alone or with others, it’s essential to unwind.

This is why we at Lemon-Butta Capetown do what we do. For the longest time, it has been our goal to reach out to as many people as possible and let them know just how amazing the local food is.

Aside from the dishes, we are also proud to offer a wide variety of wines and cocktails. See the list below for more information:

Red wine

Out of all the different wine options, red wine is possibly the most popular. People around the world enjoy drinking red wine because it is rich and pairs well with almost any type of food. Some of the most popular varieties include Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.

When you order red wine here in Lemon-Butta Capetown, you will be given a chance to order wine by the glass or by the bottle. Our servers will also give you their recommendations as to what type of wine is best suited to your meal.

White wine

For a lighter and less full-bodied drink, white wine is the best way to go. It’s still made with both green and black grapes, but the process of filtering and creating the wine is different. If you have lighter dishes like fish, pasta or poultry then this is an excellent option.

Some people also enjoy drinking white wine with cheese and bread. The popular options we have here in our restaurant include Riesling and Pinot Grigio. If you would prefer, one of our staff members would be happy to assist you in choosing one fit for your meal.

Dessert wine

As the name suggests, dessert wine is best served when the meal is over. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to eat it with chocolate or pastries, but it’s a great way to end your meal on a good note.

These wines are much sweeter compared to the other types and aren’t usually paired with anything to eat. However, some people suggest that they go well with soft cheeses and even chocolate.

Sparkling wine

When people think about sparkling drinks, celebrations are one of the first things that come to mind. These are more carbonated and are served in a flute glass instead of a regular wine glass. Prosecco and champagne are some of the best examples of this type. It is usually served during birthdays and weddings among many other special occasions.
